You may have heard someone talk about having your own personal brand . It is super important to have a personal brand even if you are employed. After all, it is you with your top competence that the company wants and you personally have a well-expressed personal brand it is easier for future companies to find you and see if you fit into their organization. I have friends who have got companies to create a work role based on how they are because they see the value in the person's network and personality something they want to have in their organization and that suits their company's team. A prominent personal brand can be your key to your future employment.
Personal branding is the key to success.
If you are self-employed as I am, it is even more important that my personality pierces through my brand both as a person and company. I see no difference between me and my company we are one and the same all the time 24-7.
Whether I am at ICA (Swedish grocery store) and shop or with my daughter at her various sports activities, it matters how I act and behave. Because potential customers see me daily whether I want it or not. It is important for yourself that you have a brand that you can stand for and that it is so close to how you are as a private person so that you do not have to be someone that you really are not when you 'go' to work.
You don't want people to say that oh I don't recognize you, on the internet you behave in one way and when you are so called 'off duty' you are a completely different person. Then the customer is confused and does not understand who you are and what you stand for and is very likely looking for one of your competitors. Transparency is good so that nobody feels cheated at any point of time.
Know Like and Trust!
In order for me to buy something no matter what it really is, I want to feel that I have confidence in the brand I like what they stand for and how they act on their website and their social platforms, then I also trust them, and are willing to spend money with them.
You should always strive to build relationships with your potential customers / employers. Feel free to let them get you close so they themselves feel that they know you, be personal with you do not need to be private.
You as a person are more likely to buy / hire someone you like, therefore relationship building is important. P>
