Finding your photography creativity?

Finding your photography creativity?

We have often been asked “What to do you do when your photography inspiration is gone!”. You will probably recognize yourself during periods when you find that when everything had been photographed there is nothing left. We have asked ourselves this question before, but there is a simple piece of advice we got once.

We provide 3 simple tips below to help you find your creativity and inspiration for photography again.

TIP 1 - USE ONLY AN LENS

By allowing you to use only one lens, it automatically makes you more creative. You may need to change angles, stand in other positions and thus you may capture the same image in a whole new way. Changing to this mindset has meant that we have found better images than we first imagined. Sometimes too many alternatives can actually reduce creativity and contribute to being lazy.

TIP 2 - FOCUS ON ONLY A COLOR OR OBJECT WHEN YOU SHOOT.

If you are going out on a photo walk, you can focus on finding for example: that the image should contain orange or that your images should contain a certain object i.e. padlocks. This way, you compose and create images you might not have thought of otherwise.

For us, this trick has really challenged us to think in brand new paths. Photography is if something a real challenge and for us a way to be creative in so many ways and one of them being our chosen lifestyle.

TIP 3 - MOST IMPORTANTLY HEAD OUT AND PHOTOGRAPH WITH OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS!

Photographing with other photographers allows you to broaden your views and you can also brainstorm different fun photo projects or be creative with the ones you like. Trying new things can be a major challenge. Of course, you can hang out with us on our photo projects that we usually have in a beautiful landscape or in the middle of the lush forest.

Being with other like-minded photographers has meant for us many new thoughts and ideas. As you know, you never get fully accomplished in your genre - there are always more things to learn. The good thing is that even if you are experienced or amateur you can learn from each other all the time.
